Sagittaria pusilla – Compact, Grass-Like Foreground Plant
Description:
Sagittaria pusilla is a petite, grass-like aquatic plant ideal for foreground use in freshwater aquariums. With its narrow, arching green leaves and low-growing habit, it creates a natural, grassy appearance that resembles a miniature underwater meadow. Its compact size and tolerance to a wide range of conditions make it perfect for nano tanks and detailed aquascapes.
Native to the southeastern United States, Sagittaria pusilla thrives in moderate lighting and doesn’t demand CO₂, although both can enhance its growth and appearance. It spreads through runners and can gradually form a low, dense carpet when well-maintained.
