Panda Cory (Corydoras panda) – Peaceful Bottom-Dweller with Iconic Black Eye Markings
Description:
The Panda Cory is a beloved community fish known for its gentle temperament, active behavior, and distinct black markings that resemble a panda’s eyes—hence the name. With a light pinkish-tan body and bold black patches over the eyes and near the tail, this Corydoras species adds charm and personality to any freshwater aquarium.
Native to cool, clear streams in Peru, Panda Cories thrive in well-oxygenated, planted tanks with soft substrate. They do best in groups of six or more and are ideal for peaceful community setups, where they spend their time scavenging along the bottom in synchronized shoals.
