Product Details

The Least Rasbora is one of the smallest and most delicate freshwater fish available, making it an excellent choice for nano and planted aquariums. Native to Southeast Asia, this tiny fish features a translucent body with a striking black horizontal stripe and subtle reddish-orange hues. Their peaceful nature and schooling behavior make them a perfect addition to a well-maintained community tank.

Key Features:

  • Appearance: A slender, translucent body with a distinct black horizontal stripe and hints of orange or pink along the fins.
  • Size: Reaches only 0.6-0.8 inches (1.5-2 cm), making it one of the smallest aquarium fish.
  • Temperament: Extremely peaceful and best kept in schools.
  • Lifespan: 3-5 years with proper care.
  • Diet: Omnivorous—thrives on high-quality micro-pellets, crushed flakes, and live or frozen foods like baby brine shrimp, daphnia, and micro worms.

Care Requirements:

  • Tank Size: Minimum 5 gallons; larger tanks recommended for bigger schools.
  • Water Parameters:
    • Temperature: 72-80°F (22-27°C)
    • pH: 5.5-7.0
    • Hardness: 2-8 dGH (soft water preferred)
  • Tank Setup:
    • Heavily planted aquarium with floating plants to create a shaded environment.
    • Gentle filtration with low water flow to mimic their natural habitat.

Behavior:

  • Very social and thrives in schools of 8 or more.
  • Peaceful and compatible with other small, non-aggressive fish such as Celestial Pearl Danios, chili rasboras, and dwarf shrimp.

Why Choose Least Rasboras?

  • Their tiny size and peaceful nature make them ideal for nano and shrimp tanks.
  • Beautiful yet subtle coloration enhances the aesthetics of planted aquariums.
  • Easy to care for and perfect for aquarists looking to maintain a small, lively school of fish.

Note:

Due to their small size, they should only be housed with similarly sized tankmates to avoid predation. A well-planted tank with stable water conditions will help them feel secure and display their best colors.

Add a school of Least Rasboras to your aquarium for a peaceful and elegant touch!
